1. Check that your document qualifies
Maryland apostilles original certified copies and documents notarized by a Maryland notary. Photocopies, documents from other states and federal documents cannot be apostilled by Maryland. Not sure? Email us a photo and we will tell you before you mail it.
2. Place your order
Fill in the order form with your contact details, the destination country, the number of documents and how you want them returned. We email an invoice and our mailing address within one business day.
3. Send us the originals
Mail or courier your documents to our Annapolis office with a copy of your order confirmation, or drop them off in person during business hours. Use a trackable service.
4. We file with the court and the state
We review every document the day it arrives. Notarized documents go to the Clerk of the Circuit Court for certification first. Then we file with the Maryland Secretary of State, which attaches the apostille. Documents received by 10:00 a.m. are filed that day.
5. Your documents ship back
We send them by the shipping method you chose and email you the tracking number. If something about a document is wrong, we call you before filing so you don't lose time or money.
